Join us for planting, weed pulling, and restoration at Salmon Creek Park! We'll be placing a bunch of native plants like ground covers, shrubs, and trees, removing weeds, like English ivy and stinky Bob, enjoying some tunes, and getting some dirt under those fingernails.
We’ll cover forest health, tool use and safety. No experience necessary; just come ready to get a little dirty, help your community, and restore this land.
All ages OK

What to Bring
Dress for the weather. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We will have gloves and tools for everyone.
Long leg coverings / long sleeves (help protect against prickly plants)
Sturdy shoes that can handle some mud (closed-toed shoes are required)
Rain gear and layers -OR- sun protection (check the weather!)
Sack lunch and/or snacks (if needed to refuel)
Reusable water bottle, we have a water jug you can refill from
Where to Meet
We'll be working on the higher area of the park. Look for the volunteer tent at the Southwest end of the grassy field. The area is across 118th St, from the school field.
Bus lines: H Line lets off 6 blocks away from the park; 128 lets off 1.5 blocks away.
Bike parking is limited. Bikes can be left at the main check-in tent and watched by volunteers onsite.

Street parking is available.
- Park along 118th SW next to the main park.
- Parking along SW 117th and 8th St SW is situated along residential streets, please be aware and respectful of neighborhood driveways.
